Top 10 Memorable Moments from the 2010 LCMS National Convention

by Brian Yamabe on July 28, 2010

A week and a half has gone by since I got back from the convention and I haven’t felt the urge to do a recap. There’s lots of other madness going on with my wife out of town. Instead I have a list of things that still stand out in my mind.
  1. Meeting Pastor and Mrs. Harrison outside the Floor Committee 1 open hearing
  2. My DP saying AC XIV was for 16th century Germans and his “U.S. as a foreign mission field” paradigm would be to have 1 ordained pastor managing 25 lay deacons.
  3. Breaking bread with so many solid pastors
  4. Mrs. Harrison waving to me as I came down the escalator and me looking around and wondering who she was waving to
  5. Pr. Watt talking PDP-11 programming
  6. Beers in Pr. Weedon’s room
  7. All the people that I met too numerous to name
  8. The Passage of 8-08A
  9. The Kyrie inserted between Confession and Absolution at the Saturday service
  10. Pr. Harrison elected President of the LCMS
